Hauptplatz 23

Hauptplatz 23 is located in the heart of the city of Linz on the main square. As a heritage listed building, with a history that spans over 400 years, the beautiful space provides artists, startups, small businesses and organizations a unique and welcoming work environment.

It was launched in 2018 by Niklas Salm-Reifferscheidt and Iris Mayr who, when looking for her own place to work, discovered the building and fell in love with its character and atmosphere. In setting up Hauptplatz 23, Iris wanted to create a space that was completely individual, one that was curated, community-led and fostered a creative and dynamic spirit and attracted a diverse group of people to come together under one roof.

From self-contained offices to a cozy coworking area, from bright and spacious meeting rooms to larger spaces suitable for art exhibitions and events, the versatile layout offers guests an array of working spaces to fit with their needs. In the basement, there are shops and a café/bar and in the middle of the building is an outdoor patio, which provides the perfect spot for alfresco lunches or after work drinks. Guests can join on a flexible basis and prices vary depending on which option they choose. All members have the opportunity to attend a range of monthly events and workshops.
